In west on 03/31/2010 at 10:17 am

A really nice look at how the art world is evolving and hiring younger curators across the board.   Enlightening to see this finally happening.

TIME FOR CAKE

In west on 03/29/2010 at 9:09 am

Three years ago, I flew to Pittsburgh for N’s birthday.  Except there ended up being some insane snowstorm and it took me 24 hours to get from Austin to Pittsburgh, with a nice delay in Detroit, then overnight-ing it in  DC, and eventually finding my way to Pennsylvania the next day.   Disastrous.. but well worth it.

Happiest of birthdays, BFF.

I have the greatest friends, though they’re all located Nowhere Near California.  The original leading lady in my life now lives in Firenze with her fiancé.   (Pretty much the best couple I’ve ever met).  She saw the posting above a few years ago in Venezia and it has solicited chuckles from both of us.

Happy Saturday,

ART AS FASHION

A fantastic look at design house Rodarte —  and how they transformed the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in New York to fit them like a tee.

In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt.
