Beauty in the European sense has always had a premeditated quality to it. We’ve always had an aesthetic intention and a long-range plan. Thats what enabled Western man to spend decades building a Gothic cathedral; or a Renaissance piazza. The beauty of New York rests on a different base, it’s unintentional.

Unintentional beauty, beauty by mistake.

Every creative thing you do: singing, dancing, cooking, painting, even people watching. Anything you do that makes you feel alive is really nothing short of a prayer.

The older I get, the louder I like my music.

Either I am going deaf or actually getting younger.

“Well, then the whole time before that…what color was my nursery if you didn’t know what to expect?”

“Mint green. Maybe that’s why it’s one of your favorites. You never have been a big fan of pink.”
