I am currently deathly ill with what seems like a huge portion of facebook statuses that are claiming sickness. About a month ago I poked fun at m for taking homeopathic meds, ironically enough my darling mother bought me some “Coldcalm.” Come on give me Nyquil I do not have the energy to pop pills very 15 minutes. I could really use the night cap knock out right about now.

I’m reading Anne Lamott’s Bird by Bird, Some Instructions on Writing & Life for one of my upcoming courses.  So far, quite an excellent read on how difficult starting to write can be and the benefits it can have on one’s life.

This week, 5,000 blackbirds fell from the skies over Arkansas, followed by 500 more in Louisiana. And now it’s happening in Sweden too. You’ve got to wonder what the hell is going on. I’ll let Gizmodo explain.

the first monday

i never seem to have an umbrella when it’s raining.  this morning, an older man shared his umbrella with me while we waited to cross the street.   people can be really nice.
