YANK

In west on 08/02/2010 at 6:07 pm

Today I also visited the dentist. Five years ago, I had a root canal on a back molar. On Friday, I woke up with the most excruciating pain in that same, dead tooth. The root canal had cracked and there was an infection.  They extracted my tooth. Regardless if you’re numb, knowing that you basically have pliers in your mouth yanking your tooth is heinous. My poor tooth. My poor wallet. In 3 months, I’ll get an implant.   Where’s the tooth fairy showering me with money when I need it?

Today I visited the dentist. Generally I like the dentist. Primarily because I have always received pretty positive feedback and compliments that were.. well boosts to the ego. Mind you I haven’t had a cleanup in about a year (I am not proud of this) and I have just returned from what I like to call my Summer “Cupcake Tour” in Washington, D.C. not to mention the fact that I thrive off the indulgence of all things sugary. Well today I paid the price.

Three potential cavities.

On Multitasking

No one can read and look simultaneously. The two activities are as mutually exclusive as kneeling and jumping. The brain must configure consciousness differently for each.

Datamoshing is a technique that manipulates video compression to create effects. I’m interested in pulling new content and imagery from a dysfunction in the way media is recorded and copied. This clip was made from a scene in Alfred Hitchcock’s Spellbound.
