Last night, I went to Gallery LA’s event at Sunset Gower Studios to see some collections: Ani, ABS (Allen Schwartz), RAW 7, Urban Republic, and Dolce Vita. The Smashbox-sponsored event was well put together and the generous alcohol sponsors allowed for an open bar the entire night. A slue of cameras were everywhere, filming a new reality series on Gallery LA’s owner Mikey Koffman. The collections were all ready-to-wear and cool, but nothing was extravagant or serious enough to leave an indelible mark in fashion. The interesting (and worst) part of fashion week in LA is well, the lack of quality.  The Dolce Vita collection was by far the best, with military styles matched with feminine prints and weirdly enough, gold mesh visors?

Nicole and I both speak Spanish.  We both also have spaces where we Make.  A workroom doesn’t have to be an entire room, just the area where Things Happen.
